So after seeing Slaughter's post about "G-speak" I did some research.

First watch the video.

Then understand that the gloves simply have reflectors on them that are read by infrared light sensors in the ceiling.

Sorry slaughter but the keyboard will need a much closer sensor and probably a reflector on the top of each fingertip, or you could glam up and paint your fingernails silver.

And see the awesome things you can do yourself with IR lights and sensors.

You know a small projector, IR light, IR sensor and glam fingernail polish. A virtual keyboard might not be that difficult.
